JARI is a nonprofit economic development organization that has been a devoted resource in building the business community within West Central PA since 1974.
When Bethlehem Steel announced that they would be cutting their workforce by 4,700 jobs, several local business leaders stepped in to counteract the immense loss by incorporating JARI as a regional economic development organization and, within a year, raised $3 million for diversified industrial development in the area.
Today, as the certified economic development entity for both Cambria and Somerset Counties, the organization continues to adapt and scale their services supporting entrepreneurs, startups, and companies of all sizes through comprehensive services in business financing services, workforce development, government contracting, commercial lending, entrepreneurship, and real estate.
